I keep saying I`m going to do things. I keep posting about how I`m going to get those diapers done... well they still aren`t done - sigh. From here going forth instead of saying what I`m going to do, I`ll post about what I`ve done.
I`ve been really busy in the past week! Sadly it has nothing to do with getting my home in order - that comes mid week this week for me, I`ll tell you about that in a bit. In the last week we moved ahead with the renovation. All of the construction is done and the drywall is up. I didn`t realize that I was going to be doing so much work with my father last week - turns out it was both of us putting in a full day. I can`t wait to show you the finished product, but don`t want to get ahead of myself and show anything until it`s all done. Such a tease - I know :P
On to the chore chart. I can`t even begin to tell you how much I love this! It is proving to be such a motivator. I start the week out gung how and keep on track less and less through the week - it has really opened my eyes as to how I operate. I love that the chart is there as a silent nag to keep reminding me to do this and that. I was raised by a white glove mother in an impeccably clean house, so have a very high standard that I want to hold myself to and feel like I just can`t quit until I get there!
I have a big week in store for cleaning. On Wednesday I am having my mother in law look after Audrey while Georgia is in daycare so I can clean. Stay tuned for what I get accomplished with no kids under foot!
I just want to say a huge thanks to Amy at New Nostalgia for keeping me honest and getting me to kick myself in the butt! Thanks Amy!
Stay tuned for my post on our Kentucky Derby party!

Aw, Lisa..a huge your welcome! I love hearing your thoughts each week and where you are at with everything.
I'm trying to let go of the white glove standard. I am sure there are people out there that can do that effortlessly, but I'm not one of them. I've learned the only way to keep that standard for me is to sacrifice things that are way too important to sacrifice!! (like my sanity!)
So glad your chore chart is working so well. Can't wait to share with you what we have been doing with our kids and charts, it is so exciting!!! Posts coming one of these days.:)
