So what have I been up to for the past year and a bit? What haven't I been up to is the better question!!
Starting September 2010 I started back at school. I've been taking classes ever since and LOVE it!! I got accepted into the Child and Youth Care Counselling program to become a youth worker and am so thrilled! Finally after many years of searching I have figured out what I want to be when I grow up. I have a short / mid / long term education plan - who would have ever thought that I was going to pursue a masters degree?! One step at a time though, gotta get me through the diploma :-)
The girls are getting bigger and bigger. Georgia just turned 4 and Audrey 2. As all mothers will say - I can't believe how fast the time is flying by! Big decisions have been made at the B household... drum-roll please... we will be a family of four! No more babies for us :-) I never thought I would ever feel "done" but I do. I feel like my family is complete. I love my family of four (plus 2 kitties) and don't want do flood the boat.
We did add a new addition to our family, however! Introducing Big Turk!

Check out the website for more pictures.
We took her camping a few times last year and we are itching to get out there with her again! Sadly we literally put the cart before the horse and don't have anything to pull her with unless we borrow a vehicle from someone, we are hoping to figure that all out before next year.
I have found a new love. No not an affair, but it might as well be! I have fallen in love with ROLLER DERBY! I don't know exactly how it happened, but boy have I fallen hard. I have watched a few bouts live, quite a few online, and read up as much as I possibly can through all avenues! This Saturday (in honour of Roller Skating month) I will be heading to a Raw Meat practice. Raw Meat is the term for those who have little to no experience and want to practice their mad skillz before trying out to become Fresh Meat. I figure it will take me a year or so of practice before I will be skilled enough to even try out! Plus I don't have much time to dedicate right now to a league, all in good time my pretty.
That's it for now!
